The team is responsible for all of the IT equipment and operations on the park, ranging from end user desktop and laptops to POS systems and digital signage. To ensure that the SLT and senior staff were kept up to date with our day to day, I sent monthly emails with ticket stats and attended many of the daily briefings to address concerns and make people aware of any work we may be carrying out that could cause disruption to the business operation. I have budget responsibility for all park IT spending. This must be invested in the correct areas depending on the attractions requirements. I led projects at CWoA such as the migration of 500+ Windows 10 devices to Windows 11 and the move to “Modern ways of Working” (moving users from traditional desktop office applications to web based online collaboration platforms). This allowed significant cost saving for the business by shifting from E3 to F3 Microsoft licenses - estimated cost savings of £350,000 a year. As well as being hands on with these projects, I delegated tasks to my team, prioritized users who had more urgent need of upgrade / license change, and ensured smooth communication with affected staff. Regular meetings with the project manager helped me to refine my time management and organizational skills and strengthened relationships with department heads both at Chessington and in the wider IT & project delivery teams. I am responsible for the hiring of staff. I created job requirements, reviewed CVs and conducted interviews. I held regular 1-1 meetings and conducted performance reviews with my team to provide support and career guidance.

I gained experience with AD, SCCM, Intune, Autopilot, PowerShell, and Microsoft Entra. I contributed to projects like the APOS 6 rollout and Teams deployment, handling backend management and ensuring no CAP phones were missed. These projects helped me expand my IT skills and deepen my passion for the field. I was required to support teams in multiple locations including the corporate office in County Hall, gaining experience in fast-paced environments with executive employees. I focused on improving IT relationships with other departments by performing daily checks in areas with common issues and building strong connections with department heads and SLT.
