I am a mechanical engineer and program leader with a strong background in applied research, energy systems, and battery safety. At SwRI, I combine technical expertise in electrification and lithium-ion battery testing with formal business training to deliver complex, multi-year engineering programs from concept through execution. I hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University. During my graduate studies, I conducted research in thermal-fluids and combustion using advanced laser diagnostics techniques. Professionally, I have led and supported applied research on lithium-ion batteries, including performance evaluation, safety testing, and abuse testing. Through this work, I developed strong analytical capabilities using Python and MATLAB to process, analyze, and present complex experimental data. I also earned an MBA with a focus on project management from the UTSA Alvarez College of Business. Building on this formal training, I have contributed to and helped manage large, multi-year, million-dollar engineering programs. My responsibilities have included proposal development, stakeholder coordination, and oversight of cost, scope, schedule, and resource objectives to ensure successful project delivery.
