It was my role to coordinate the letting of fit out contract works, assessing and submitting variations to the contract to the joint satisfaction of Mirvac and EY. I was also responsible for Cash Flow forecasts and Cost Reporting. This role involved a high level of negotiation, risk management and cost control. Negotiation with the client and their respective consultants as well as the incumbent and tendering subcontractor’s was required in order to deliver the project to the mutual satisfaction of all parties. I was responsible for developing and maintaining various risk management tools based on the Agreement For Lease and Mirvac’s internal processes. I also had to ensure Head Contractor and subcontractor progress claims were prepared, reviewed and paid in accordance with Mirvac standard operating procedure and the relevant legislation. This role gave me a valuable insight into the internal machinations of a Tier 1 Builder and Developer.
