My role encompassed critical financial functions, ensuring smooth country office operations: • Managing liquidity levels of the country office by doing cash flow forecasts, liquidity plans, and submission of funds requests. • Developing and managing budgets for construction works inspections, Operational Costs, and Logistical Arrangements. • Monitor expenditure against budget and advise the project managers on any variances and budget reallocations if need be. • Ensure timely, accurate, and transparent financial reporting to donors and other partners as required. • Posting accounting transactions to the accounting system, maintaining reconciled general ledgers, and performing monthly bank reconciliations. • Lead project audit for all projects assigned and follow up on audit recommendations to its completion. • Develop project-specific financial guidelines and templates to comply with donor reporting requirements and contracts. • Review sub-contractor budget proposals and advise the project manager accordingly. • Monitor sub-contractor expenses to ensure that they are within contract, budget, and policy. • Provide training and capacity support to sub-contractors to ensure compliance with the partnership conditions. • Oversees company registrations in Pakistan and ensures timely submission of tax returns, and renewals of registrations, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations. • Oversee and monitor field visits to Punjab and KPK provinces including tribal areas.
