Planning and implementation of water quality monitoring program including receiving waters, groundwater, on-site water storages, leak detection and potable water. Development of Take 5’s, JSAs, SWIs and procedures on a broad range of work activities. Data entry, data analysis, interpretation and reporting. Preparation of exceedance notifications and investigation reports for Department of Environment and Science (DES) under the EA. Management of potable water including sampling and data analysis. Implementation of alternative water sources, tagging out of taps, site communications and incident reports when contamination is detected. Investigation into environmental incidents including releases and salting (long-distance sampling hikes, data entry, collation and analysis, inspections with DES, preparation of reports and liaising with consultants to develop flow modelling and harm assessments). Planning and preparation for pre-wet and post-wet DES inspections. Compilation and quality analysis of data requests from DES. Training for Emergency Response Team including occupational first aid and firefighting. Wildlife rescue, snake relocation and fauna spotter catching duties in accordance with a Damage Mitigation Permit. Research and coordination of various waste disposal activities. Weed control advice, training and active on-ground management. Soil sediment sampling, analysis and reporting. Air monitoring including DustTraks, BZ monitor and ambient sampling. Field work and data collection for rehabilitation Undertake audits and compliance actions including chemical audits, spill kit audits, TSF inspections, processing inspections. Design and implementation of rehabilitation and revegetation projects using best practice techniques from industry practice and research.
