Jul. 2017Cambridge, MAI coordinate an Academic Advising Center of 6 professional advisors and a couple dozen peer advisors, managing a collective caseload of 1,500 traditional undergraduate students! I coordinate calendars, manage the front office phones, and oversee a team of student employees, who assist me in various every day office tasks. Along with our Assistant Director, I also created and now maintain an online filing system, containing student records from 2017 to the present year.

May. 2017 - Aug. 2017Cambridge, MAI served as a faculty member for Lesley University's College of Art & Design Summer Residency Program, which offered college level courses to high school students interested in the Art & Design field. I taught two courses for the length of the month-long program, with students from a wide range of skill levels. Course contents included Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Color & Composition, Visual Narrative, Pattern Creation, Digital Painting Techniques, and Photo Manipulation.

Jan. 2016 - Oct. 2018Greater Boston AreaI worked in three separate retail locations for New England Comics, working with a wide breadth of customers looking for a variety of comic books and graphic novels to suit an enormous spectrum of interests and reading levels. I managed inventory, sending inter-location transfers out weekly, as well as updating office supply lists. I also coordinated weekly tournaments for Magic the Gathering, hosting up to 32 competitors and taking in entrance fees, updating tournament information, and scheduling tournaments through the Wizards of the Coast event app.

Jan. 2016 - May. 2016Cambridge, MAI filled in for a colleague on maternity leave, taking on a caseload of over 100 undergraduate art and design students. I used my breadth of knowledge about the College of Art & Design's degree requirements to advise these students on their class schedules, credits, internships, and career goals. I frequently met with students and parents to discuss the students' long-term career aspirations, and how they could make the most of their undergraduate experience to prepare them for the art industry. I also met with prospective students during Accepted Students events, talking about the wider requirements of an undergraduate degree and the skills a student would gain during their time in the program.
