Aug. 2019 - Jun. 2021Sana'a, Yemen- Served as the focal point person for all donor communications, proposal development, budget reviews and report submissions related to all United Nations-funded partnership grants for RI Yemen which included WFP, UNFPA, WHO, WFP, UNICEF and OCHA. Coordinated all project managers to prepare quality proposals based on the organizational strategy and priorities. - Functioned as a Grants Coordinator during the long absence of the Grants Coordinator. Led the programs team in facilitating the development of proposals, ensured timely submissions of proposals, oversaw the implementation of projects, tracked the progress using monitoring tools, and facilitated reporting. - Coordinated, reviewed, and edited all bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, interim, and final narrative and financial reports for eleven donor-funded projects, ensured timely submission to donors, negotiated cost and no-cost extensions, and revised budgets based on donor requirements. - Collaborated with RI’s Global Communications team to enhance RI Yemen’s country communication strategy which included updating RI Yemen’s website and social media content as well as internally circulated (via an intranet system) key messages regarding RI’s interventions in Yemen. - Designed an advocacy pamphlet highlighting the impact of Relief International’s interventions in Yemen in 2020 to be circulated as a communications tool to current and potential donors as part of RI Yemen’s donor engagement strategy. - Consolidated all communication deliverables including human interest stories, video content and photo databases for Relief International’s donor-funded projects across Yemen (Sana’a and Aden) as per contractual obligations of ECHO, BHA, and UN donors. - Developed a human-interest story training package and conducted two communication workshops for over twenty-five relevant Program staff, provided capacity building for project management team that included proposal design, reporting and online project tracking.
