Apr. 2018 - Dec. 2025Сан-Маркос, CADesigned comprehensive electrical schematics for Power Control Accessory Systems (PCAS) in commercial electric vehicles (trucks, buses, and specialty vehicles), encompassing Low Voltage Distribution Centers (LVDC), Adapter Boards, High Voltage Distribution Units, HVIL layouts, CAN bus architectures, and complete LV/HV interconnections and wiring harnesses utilizing SOLIDWORKS Electrical, Creo Schematics, and Visio.
Invented and implemented the proprietary Smart HVIL (High Voltage Interlock Loop) solution to overcome limitations in ECU analog inputs, significantly expanding PCAS functionality and enabling support for additional vehicle features without hardware redesign.
Designed custom printed circuit boards (PCBs) using Altium Designer; led multiple LVDC and PCB development projects from initial concept and requirements definition through prototyping, validation, and full-scale production release.
Developed low-voltage and high-voltage harness schematics and routing designs for numerous electric vehicle programs, including DINA, Kalmar yard trucks, Romeo, Paccar HD, P579, P520, and others, ensuring compliance with automotive standards and project timelines.
Diagnosed and resolved severe electromagnetic interference (EMI) issues affecting vehicle operation in Kalmar yard trucks by replacing variable reluctance (VR) speed sensors and associated low-pass filters with more robust Hall-effect sensors, eliminating signal corruption and improving system reliability.
Performed hands-on design, testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis of low-voltage and high-voltage powertrain systems across a range of electric trucks, buses, and specialty vehicles, contributing to successful vehicle integration and field performance.
