The app was created by young Kenyans from various counties with the goal of addressing youth unemployment by enabling them to connect with potential employers directly, without the involvement of third-party intermediaries, also known as middlemen The platform has impacted over 700,000 individuals and has established physical Job Centers in 10 counties in Kenya. AJIRY's success has been aided by The Mastercard Foundation's Young Africa Works Initiative (YAW), which provided over USD 2 million in funding over the past three years.
