Nov. 2020Nairobi, KenyaI am an HR Generalist partnering with and supporting teams in Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, DRC, Ethiopia, Somaliland, Malawi, Zambia, Ghana, and Togo. My main roles are : * leading on and ensuring staff have and maintain the right to work in the countries they are based in; * Staff benefits schemes are maintained to ensure staff derive the optimum value. * HR reporting data is processed in good time; * Staff data is updated on the HR Systems, and new staff are onboarded to the systems. * Vacancies are created in the recruitment board, and * Running end-to-end recruitments for some select positions; * Act as the focal point for the HR risk register. I support my team in the following areas: - Staff orientation and Inductions - HR audits - Administration of interview materials to C-suite positions - Employee engagement; - Performance management; - Workplace environment compliance and improvement; - Pastoral care & general welfare of employees and their dependents. My achievements in my current role are: • Successfully facilitated and concluded over 70 recruitments processes from Senior Directors to Assistant levels in Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, DRC, Rwanda, and Ghana for English and French speaking markets. • Successfully administered Regional Medical and Group Life Assurance schemes (GLA) of over US$ 50,000 and US$ 25,000 annual value. • Successfully (in Liaison with team) managed the workforce (including pastoral care) to the staff in the counties mentioned above. • Managed a robust Employee Assistance programme. • Strategy alignment during two major restructuring processes while maintaining staff morale and engagement. • Supported implementation of three HR systems. • Successfully procured the right to work for over 20 staff in Kenya, Ghana, Malawi, Djibouti and Tanzania
