Jan. 2007 - Jun. 2012Corvallis, ORBefore moving to Seattle I was the Recreation Manager for the Oregon State University - College Forests, as well as a faculty member of the College of Forestry’s Department of Forests, Ecosystems and Society. I oversaw all aspects of the recreation program on the forest, and was the main point of contact for the community while working to create, build, and integrate community partnerships and relationships compatible with the forest missions. My role and responsibilities were broad, program management, supervision of staff, contractors and volunteers along with budget development and management were main responsibilities along with the development of partnerships in the community and state, the creation and coordination of group user activities, the creation and fostering of volunteer programs and community outreach, as well as the oversight of recreation facilities and operations, trail construction and maintenance. I was the key staff member in developing partnerships with local organizations and was called upon to serve on committees which addressed issues affecting the community, trails, watersheds, public education, and local land use
