100 Women Who Care about Long IslandChair, Advisory Committee
Jun. 2019 - Dec. 2020Long Island100 Women Who Care about Long Island is a group of local women who are interested in supporting our communities by contributing to Long Island charities together as a group to increase the impact. We come from all walks of life and varying financial backgrounds. As individuals it is difficult to make a very large impact, but as a group we believe we have the ability to contribute to the growth of our communities in ways that we never before thought possible. Our mission is to reach out and help our communities by finding at least 100 women to commit to our group. Commitment involves attending four, one-hour meetings a year, and pledging $100 per meeting ($400.00 per year) to support a local charity. If you cannot or prefer not to commit to $100 four times a year, you may partner with another woman to meet the $400 yearly commitment. All charitable organizations must be located in, and serve, Nassau or Suffolk Counties and must have 501(c)(3) non-profit status. Our goal is to keep our focus local and have an impact that can be seen in our community.
