Manages the development of detailed project plans that define key activities, timelines, and resource requirements needed to achieve project objectives, while adhering to an appropriate systematic development process. Works closely with the Manager, Software Development to maintain the critical communication paths between the programming resources and local QA teams. Manages the implementation and administration of an issue tracking system to ensure peak system performance levels are maintained at all times. Initiates new workflows and system modifications as necessary. Ensures and maintains effective tracking of all reported issues. Facilitates weekly project team meetings. Coordinates meetings between departments. Analyzes project requirements; includes investigating project needs and identifying resources required. Balances use of vendor resources and internal resources. Manages the compatibility and functionality testing for BPE course software performed by third-party vendors. Collaborates with other Course Development managers to ensure timely delivery of all BPE course software releases. Manages all assignments of Software QA staff; ensures that all related documentation, issues, and information are reported clearly and are included with the assignment. Under the direction of the Director Product Management, works to establish, develop, and update software Quality Assurance standards and procedures. Manages the establishment and collection of software testing metrics and provides status reports to the others directors.
