Feb. 1998 - Mar. 2010I was headhunted to join Primedia as editor of Security Today, a monthly A4 publication. In January 1999, I moved over to Hire SA (also a monthly A4 publication which addresses the construction and civil engineering as well as the mining industries with information on plant for hire) as the then-current editor was leaving Primedia. My duties included photography where needed and obtaining articles for the magazine. I was solely responsible for feature planning and the incorporation of new elements into the magazine. In 2008 I launched a bi-monthly journal for the company (Specialised Access) which addressed the work at height industry. I was responsible for developing and executing a business plan, compiling the mailing list, securing endorsement from the Institute for Work at Height (IWH), sourcing and researching all editorial content and producing future editorial forecasts. The second type of feature was the company profile. A further feature which I added for 1993 was a focus on the industrial communications industry. With all modesty, I am proud to have been the first female, and youngest ever, editor of Pulse.
