My name is Nadaban-Alexa Alexandra, and I am a hematology specialist with a strong interest in clinical practice, academic teaching, and scientific research. I graduated in 2018 from the Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy and Dental Medicine, specializing in General Medicine, at the “Vasile Goldis” Western University of Arad. Since my medical studies, I have been particularly interested in hematology, which led me to choose this specialty for my residency training. I completed my five-year residency in Hematology at the Arad County Emergency Clinical Hospital, within the Clinical Hematology Department, under the supervision of Prof. Univ. Dr. Habil. Coralia-Adina Cotoraci. During this period, I developed extensive clinical experience and discovered that hematologic diseases, when approached with dedication and professionalism, can be successfully managed and treated. In 2023 I completed my residency training, and since 2024 I have been working as a Specialist in Hematology at the Hematology Clinic of the Arad County Emergency Clinical Hospital. Alongside my medical training, I also completed postgraduate psycho-pedagogical training (Level I and II) in 2021 and 2022, which allowed me to begin my academic career as a University Assistant at the Faculty of Medicine within the “Vasile Goldiș” Western University of Arad. In 2020 I was admitted to the PhD program within the Multidisciplinary Doctoral School (I.O.S.U.D.) of the “Vasile Goldis” Western University of Arad. My doctoral research, entitled “Monitoring the incidence and etiopathogenesis of trigger factors with high potential for thrombophilia and thrombosis”, is conducted under the supervision of Prof. Univ. Dr. Habil. Coralia-Adina Cotoraci. My research focuses on analyzing the molecular mechanisms of NETosis and identifying potential circulating biomarkers in patients with acute leukemia, myeloproliferative disorders, thrombophilia, and venous or arterial thrombosis, both before and after treatment.
