Conduct monthly data quality review meeting on Mortality surveillance with states focal persons, providing timely decision on how to maximize data for better programming and improvement on quality of life for PLHIVs. I also support the organization in the recency surveillance system set up across nearly 100 health facilities across supported states by working closely with staff to set up incident command systems to monitor recent cases already identified in the community following the required threshold for follow up with quick intervention at the communities. Provide technical support to the design, conduct, analysis and dissemination of program and Research Evaluations and surveys/surveillance, in line with outcome evaluation and science guidance for CIHP and Funders. Support the review and validation of evaluation data for completeness, consistency, and reliability in line with approved evaluation protocols. · Support the evaluation of programs (Baseline, Process, outcome and Impact) and research-related activities of core evaluation teams for USG and non-USG focused grants. · Provide oversight for all survey and evaluation activities at the study locations in the States. Support proposal developments for grants/funding applications and ethical approval processes for proposed research and program evaluations in line Global, National and Donor standards. Support high level data analysis for publications/dissemination, using surveillance, surveys, and outcome data. Support interpretation of data analysis, development of manuscripts, success stories and other dissemination products, and dissemination processes using appropriate dissemination methods and media.

Jun. 2020 - May. 2022Abuja Municipal, Federal Capital Territory, NigeriaThe Leveraging Enablers of Positive Deviancy (LEOPOD) study is an 18 months Implementation Science research that looks at increasing the demand for immunization leveraging on Positive Deviants in Gombe and Niger State. The LEOPOD project looks at increasing demand for immunization among children not fully vaccinated using the positive deviancy approach- a social behavioral intervention. As a Project Coordinator, I supported in the development of the Protocol, tools (Quantitative and Qualitative data collection tools), Ethical approval, training of study team members as well as ensuring smooth operation of day-to-day activities on the project. Assist the PI in development of materials and tools including the Participatory Learning and Action tool necessary to appropriately train individuals involved in the conduct of the study around issues related to (but not limited to) protocol requirements, execution of research plan. Maintain documentation of training. Provide appropriate training and tools for study team members. Trained and supervised the conduct of Interviews among women who fully immunized their Children for the LEOPOD grant. Work with the Finance unit to prepare budgeted costs for every activities as stated in the work plan, by confirming accuracy of each cost. Support the PI in the development of Abstracts and Manuscripts for Publications and conferences.

I also support the organization to implement quality improvement activities including PEPFAR's SIMS and the Government of Nigeria's NG-QUAL in all supported sites by the organization. I also provide trainings on quality improvement processes to Frontline supervisors in health facilities and support health facilities to develop QI projects to better improve service delivery at these health facilities. I am currently supporting the organization in the roll-out plan for the HIV Mortality surveillance system in Nigeria with financial support from the PEPFAR CDC program in Nigeria. This system will help diagnose the cause of dealth among PLHIV as our current system do not have that.

Key Responsibilities • Provided supervisory and technical support to research sites under the INSPIRE project of the organization. ➢ Supported the mobilization activities at health facilities under the project to increase enrolment, thereby achieving results and ensuring quality of services are maintained at the highest standard and that all project objectives and deliverables are met. ➢ Provided technical leadership in site assessments and research study quality assurance. • Provided technical support on data validation and reporting ➢ Mentored study nurses on real time documentation of information gotten from patients immediately to avoid data gaps. ➢ Retrospective updates on data gaps and missing values were duly filled on the field to ensure timely correction and improve data integrity. ➢ Also ensured that database at state offices were duly updated. ➢ Also ensured that reporting of data both at the field and state offices should be in synchrony to avoid any form of miscalculation bias. ➢ Tracking tools were being deployed to the field to collect any missing information that hasn’t been captured on the database. • Supported the development and gathering of supplementary data for the research LJM project. ➢ Developed tools such as questionnaire on health satisfaction survey, family planning, maternal death form which has been additional information for data collection. ➢ Mentored field assistants on how data should be collected. ➢ Also conducted interviews both quantitative and qualitative according to research methods. ➢ Also supported the development of adolescent implementation plan framework like research questions, field research guides.
