Miguel is an International Business Development Specialist who in 2004, established Intercambi Inc. (dba IBF International), a Canadian company that currently helps foreign companies to do business in other countries by helping them to breach gaps in different business cultures. IBF provides Internationalization Management Consulting Export Promotion Organizations in different countries. In 2010, Intercambi Inc. opened a branch in Houston, TX. where Miguel moved and became Managing Director, position he still holds today. The company was named IBF Intercambi Inc. and as of today, IBF does business development in different countries for the Lean Six Sigma Institute, company with operations in more than 15 countries. Miguel oversees Business Development in Canada, USA, Mexico, Panama and Bolivia. IBF also helps companies from different countries to enter the US market. As part of his activities, Miguel has also done marketing research and strategic planning in Canada, USA and Mexico for several companies. His work has always focused on helping companies to improve the company’s internationalization capabilities and in helping them develop and implement Internationalization plans. Miguel also got a Black Belt Certification in Lean Six Sigma, a certification in Lean Strategy Innovation and a certification in Lean Marketing, which allow him to help companies become more productive by reducing costs, eliminating waste and non-value adding activities in their processes. From 1999 to 2009 Miguel was Intercambi, S.C. Director. Intercambi is a company dedicated to developing international business in the NAFTA Region by providing support for companies in this area and was established in Mexico in 1999 and started operations in Canada in 2000, when Miguel moved to Toronto. Miguel was born in Guanajuato, Mexico. He has lived in different cities in Canada, the U.S., Mexico and Bolivia and is familiar with North American and Latin American business practices, which enables him to facilitate international trade for his
