• Support for the strategic design and development of SBC activities
o Implementation of a comprehensive analysis of the communication situation and perception of social, cultural, economic and political problems in the country.
o Assessment of qualitative and quantitative information, data and evidence to support the development of comprehensive, evidence-based information for the development and planning of a communications and community engagement strategy.
o Strengthened collaboration with a wide range of partners and stakeholders to ensure synergy, integration, coherence and harmonization of SBC activities
• Support for strategy design and development of SBC activities
o Intensifying collaboration and consultations with internal and external partners to design communication strategies, including material formulation, production, and testing to organize events and activities to ensure engagement and participation of key audiences, and maximum reach and impact.
o Strengthened technical quality, coherence and relevance of communications strategies, including materials that are developed, produced and disseminated to target audiences (e.g., individuals, communities, government officials, partners, media, etc.).
o Overseeing the production and implementation of multimedia initiatives to meet objectives and plans that incorporate the latest evidence.
o Implementation of SBC advocacy activities with a wide range of stakeholders, partners, communities, etc. to encourage/promote engagement and dialogue, inclusion, self-determination, and participation in mobilization to achieve sustainable results.
o Support for the organization of the Forum of Governors of Administrative Regions to strengthen the participation and involvement of political and administrative authorities, civil society and young people in UNICEF programmes
• Technical and operational support
o Strengthened collaboration with sectors and other partners to contribute to the development of communication strategies, approaches, policies and the planning of social mobilization initiatives in support of program implementation and the achievement of results.
o Participation in budget planning and management of program funds and financial planning of SBC initiatives.
• Advocacy, Networking and Partnership Building
o Identifying, energizing, and maintaining partnerships through networking and proactive collaboration with strategic partners to strengthen cooperation and seek advocacy opportunities to promote UNICEF's missions and goals in child rights, social equity, and inclusion.
o Strengthened collaboration with internal, regional communications partners to harmonize and coordinate messaging and the use of multiple media and communication platforms to improve awareness and social mobilization, including in humanitarian contexts.
o Participation in organizational and inter-agency work discussions with inter-agency partners/colleagues as part of communication, advocacy, awareness-raising and social mobilization initiatives.
• Innovation, knowledge management and capacity building
o Implementation of innovative practices, approaches and the latest technologies across multiple media and social/digital platforms and networks.
o Documenting and sharing best practices and knowledge learned with partners and stakeholders to build the capacity of practitioners, and disseminating these products to key audiences, including donors and partners.
o Implementation of capacity building initiatives to improve the skills of actors/stakeholders/partners (governmental and non-governmental) in communication, advocacy, key message design, planning, implementation, and evaluation in support of programmes, including in humanitarian contexts.
