• Management of internal studio team for strategy, creative and design x10. Often when with freelancers the team was up to 20. Included resource and workflow planning, quality performance, and financial monthly reporting/billing - ensuring the studio has the skills and resources it needs to service clients.
• Creative studio lead across a range of new business development, and critical Exposure Brand initiatives
• Prioritisation of work and daily focus for designers, partnering closely with other Senior Managers to balance delivery across a number of campaigns. Using tools like Float. • Accountability for creative output of studio team with Design Director and ECD, maintaining a high level of creative quality Commercial:
• Resource projection for freelancers, based on forecast projects for the month
• Monitoring utilisation and inputting into resource discussions
• Encouraging burn rates to be looked at to share learnings, and ensure there isn't scope creep
• Help teams with estimating time required, and project managing some critical projects. Operational Processes
• Restructure of the team in my first month, and x3 hires for mid weight designer, ACD and CD
• Management of all freelancers and requirements (IR35, internal set ups, contract negotiations, using platforms like Yuno Juno), and external headhunting partners
• Development and ownership of studio process, optimising workflows and fostering an environment for effective briefing and creative development Team includes:
