Management of in-house PR included; writing and issuing press releases, media relations and coverage generation, co-ordinating press schedules, interviews and photo-calls, evaluating all media coverage and archiving press cuttings, arranging ticketing competitions and promotions with venues and media, securing local media partnerships for Liverpool Summer Pops Festival, hosting media launches and charity events, co-ordinating on-site media relations at events, and management of company website and social media pages.
Managed a large media database of regional news and national music contacts, building strong media contacts, leading to key coverage generation. An external PR agency would support ad-hoc project basis, acted as day-to-day contact, managing and directing agency activity in accordance with ticket sales, ensuring the agency’s performance met agreed deliverables. Worked across-regions, overseeing PR for extensive US tours, liaising with local press offices to provide production press kits and co-ordinate telephone interview schedules ahead of the tours.
During this projects included the Liverpool Summer Pops Festival, including sell-out shows from Crosby, Stills and Nash, Deacon Blue, and Rod Stewart, and the charity fundraising event Beatles Day, and tours included Paul Carrack, and Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings.
