Mar. 2021 - Feb. 2022Assigned to the Crime Center as the Violent Crimes Analyst and Prolific Offender Project lead. Performed statistical work collecting, assessing, calculating, and preparing reports on overall statistical crime data and patterns. Gathered, analyzed, correlated, and evaluated information from open-source and restricted resources such as financial, criminal, public record, and other information. Prepared comprehensive written reports, presentations, maps, and charts, based on research strategies, reviewing data to identify patterns and relationships, collection, and analysis of intelligence data while maintaining various case files. Collaborated with representatives from other government entities, intelligence organizations, and local community organizations to share information and coordinate intelligence activities. Assisted detectives on active calls for service, rendering pertinent information. Primary responsibilities as the Violent Crimes Analyst included tracking shooting incidents and building biography workups for individuals involved in active investigations. Primary responsibility as the Prolific Offender Project lead included researching a program implemented across other law enforcement agencies and how to apply it to the Orlando Police Department. The program was an evidence-based risk assessment to score offenders based on six risk factors that indicated their likeliness to commit repeated violence and gun crimes. As the lead, trained other analysts and detectives in the program.
