Jul. 2016 - Mar. 2018Guatemala City, GuatemalaUSAID´s Participación Cívica Project is aimed at strengthening and developing the institutional capacity of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Guatemala to play a more effective role in addressing transparency, accountable governance, and anti-corruption issues. Responsibilities included but were not limited to:
- Leading the Project's Communications Unit, comprised of a communications and media specialist and a communications assistant;
- Designed and implementing the Project's communications strategy;
- Developed the Project’s Social Media Handbook;
- Developed the USAID Branding Strategy and Marking Plan for the Project, and ensuring it’s in all Project communications, including training for Project staff and partner CSOs;
- Drafting outreach and communications materials on the Project's activities, including success stories, USAID fact sheets, impact statements, newsworthy stories, success stories, brochures, posters, quarterly reports, annual workplans, PowerPoint presentations for local and international use including, among others;
- Leading and coordinating the development of the Project’s website, based on USAIDs Branding Strategy and Marking Plan;
- Organizing large-scale outreach events in coordination with the Executive branch of Government, CSOs, USAID, and Project staff;
- Coordinating with the senior management, and the technical and grants teams to prioritize relevant communication activities and materials;
- Live-tweeting of events, in coordination with Counterpart International and USAID; and
- Documenting Project activities, including communication minutes and photos.
