May. 2024Antananarivo, Analamanga, MadagascarTabiry (which means “seed” in the local dialect of the southern region) is a project focused on agricultural development and the supply and distribution of seeds adapted to conditions in the Androy and Atsimo Andrefana regions. With funding of $15 million from USAID, the Tabiry project builds on the experience of CRS’ USAID supported development and emergency programs in the south. In its implementation, CRS works with the Diocesan Development Council of Toliara (CDD-U), a local implementing partner, as local knowledge, experience, and presence are essential. To ensure that participants do not consume the seeds, CRS will distribute them in areas where it distributes food.
