TriviumSocial Studies Teacher
Aug. 2022Lompoc, California, United StatesAs a Junior High and High School History Teacher in a hybrid learning environment, I am responsible for delivering engaging, standards-aligned instruction during in-person days and assigning meaningful remote learning activities that align with a homeschool curriculum. I monitor a variety of curricula to ensure consistency, academic rigor, and alignment with learning goals. I track student progress across both in-person and remote formats, provide timely feedback, and grade assignments fairly. I also support students through regular check-ins, office hours, and additional help as needed, while fostering independent learning and time management skills. I maintain open and consistent communication with students, parents, and colleagues to support overall student success. In addition to teaching, I participate in professional development, including Leader in Me training, and actively integrate its principles into my classroom environment and instruction. I collaborate with fellow teachers to align lessons and share strategies, and I contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning culture. I take an active role in school events and help students engage with history through meaningful projects and activities. I approach my work with flexibility, organization, and a strong commitment to both academic excellence and character development in this dynamic hybrid setting.
