Conduct hospital medical chart reviews to assess organ, eye and tissue donation opportunities and to identify missed or late referrals. Support process for the hospital’s EMR system to interface with OneLegacy’s digitalDONOR system. Function as an internal & external resource for hospital donation program. Maintain a functional understanding of legal and clinical aspects of death by neurological criteria, donation after cardiac death, organ, eye and tissue recovery protocols, donor maintenance, transplantation, organ, eye and tissue allocation and preservation. Develop resources and donation champions within hospitals. Update and maintain hospital profiles. Document all hospital development & improvement activities in accordance with the Association of Organ Procurement Organization hospital development standards & CMS regulations.
