Karen Lancaster-Ellis is a distinguished professional serving as a Consultant, Lecturer, and Senior Police Officer at Global Policing Solutions and the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS). Karen holds Doctoral and Masters Degrees in Criminology and Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management. With over 31 years of law enforcement and public safety experience, she is a Consultant in Policing, National Security and its related fields. Karen has been instrumental in developing innovative criminal investigative, crime fighting and crime prevention strategies and training programs that have significantly enhanced criminal investigations and community policing efforts. Karen has a wealth of experience in criminal investigations, community-oriented policing, fraud investigations, crime analysis, executive management, human resource management, operational planning, VIP protection and many other policing areas. Karen received several commendations and awarded for her contribution to national security and for her discipline. Karen has lectured in Police Management; Criminal Justice; Criminal Investigations and Juvenile Delinquency at a university and community college and has lectured as an Expert in the Incident Command System. Karen is a researcher and published author. She regularly attends conferences where she presents her research. Karen also attended the William J. Perry Centre and pursued courses in Caribbean Defense and Security and Governance, Governability and Security in the Americas.
