Acted as the first human resources manager for the company charged with creating a human resources function: established employee database; wrote employee manual; provided training in policies and procedures; reviewed and recommended comparable & consistent compensation; negotiated insurance contracts including health, dental, worker's compensation and unemployment. Provided guidance to resolve complex human resources and employee relations issues, including disciplinary action and termination. Served as human resources consultant to other restaurants that contracted with Foodcraft.
