Oct. 2016 - Apr. 2017During my senior year at Loyola, I committed to raise and train a golden retriever puppy in the hopes that he would become a service dog for someone suffering from an "invisible" disease (PTSD, Diabetes, Autism and Seizure Disorder). My service dog in training, Trevor, came with me wherever I went: class, the gym, work, the mall etc. This experience was extremely gratifying, and while it was difficult to watch Trevor leave, I am overjoyed by the service he will be able to provide someone in need.
