Supervise and plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set priorities, and plan milestones through award. Involved in all areas of the acquisition cycle from the earliest acquisition planning to the last contractor performance assessment report. Participate in cross discipline teams and legal to set up processes to streamline, educate, and standardize contracting processes. Share and communicate best practices/process improvements. Mentor and educate on contracting issues ranging from customer support, market research, through close out. Serve as an advisor on formal source selection requirements. Educate customers on developing performance work statements with enough detail that adequate competition can be obtained. Foster a team concept and outstanding customer relations. Continually striving to protect the rights of the government and improve upon the procurement process using best practices and innovative applications of regulations to support the mission.
