Define and drive the company’s strategic direction in domestic and international markets.
Identify new market opportunities and product lines in the global shellfish industry.
Operational Oversight:
Oversee harvesting, processing, packaging, and logistics to ensure product quality, sustainability, and compliance.
Implement and manage systems for supply chain efficiency and product traceability.
Financial Management:
Develop annual budgets, manage financial performance, and report to shareholders and stakeholders.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and manage risk exposure across the business.
Sales and Export Development:
Build and maintain strong relationships with international buyers, distributors, and trade partners.
Ensure compliance with all relevant export laws, certifications, and international food safety standards.
Team Leadership:
Recruit, lead, and develop high-performing teams across departments including operations, logistics, compliance, and sales.
Foster a culture of safety, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Regulatory and Environmental Compliance:
Ensure operations adhere to local and international regulations regarding seafood harvesting, sustainability, and export.
Liaise with regulatory bodies and industry associations to ensure best practices are followed.
Key Skills & Experience
Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the seafood, fisheries, or export industry.
Deep understanding of shellfish harvesting, processing, and international distribution.
Strong financial acumen and business development experience.
Excellent knowledge of international trade regulations, particularly in key markets such as the EU, Asia, and North America.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex operations and lead cross-functional teams.
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
