Jun. 2022 - Dec. 2022worldwideAs a Zodiac Driver and Naturalist onboard, I played a crucial role in ensuring that guests had a memorable and enriching expedition experience. My responsibilities encompassed a range of tasks that were fundamental to the expedition operation and guest interaction. First and foremost, I was responsible for operating the Zodiacs safely, ensuring that guests could explore remote locations with confidence. My deep knowledge of the given region allowed me to provide expert guidance in the field, sharing insights about the wildlife, landscapes, and cultural significance of each destination. I served as an interpreter for guests both aboard the ship and during excursions ashore, facilitating their understanding and appreciation of the natural environment. Additionally, I engaged with guests informally, sharing information and fostering a sense of camaraderie and learning. Collaboration with the Expedition Leader and Assistant Expedition Leaders was essential, as we worked together to ensure that all expedition arrangements exceeded expectations and seamlessly integrated with the operations of other ship departments. Compliance with international regulations and standards, particularly in regions like Antarctica and South Georgia, was a top priority, and I ensured that our operations adhered to these obligations. To excel in my role, I had to possess a strong and outgoing personality, coupled with a high level of expertise in my area of focus. I was enterprising, self-confident, and highly motivated, with excellent public speaking skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with grace and efficiency. Furthermore, I was proficient in driving Zodiacs under all conditions, possessed strong planning and time management skills, and excelled in crisis control management. I was adaptable and flexible, willing to assist wherever needed and adjust to changing schedules at a moment's notice.

Jan. 2021world wideAs a Wilderness First Responder (WFR) Instructor, my role is to equip individuals with the skills and confidence needed to handle medical emergencies in remote environments. I train adventurers, outdoor professionals, and expedition teams in essential wilderness medicine techniques, from patient assessment and trauma management to evacuation strategies and environmental emergency response. Each course I teach combines theory with hands-on practice. I guide students through realistic scenarios where they learn to splint injuries, control bleeding, perform CPR, and make critical decisions in challenging outdoor conditions. One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is adapting lessons to each group’s unique needs, whether they're guides, researchers, or outdoor enthusiasts, so they leave prepared for real-world challenges. Safety, readiness, and resourcefulness are at the heart of everything I teach, and I’m passionate about helping others feel empowered in the wilderness. This role brings together my love for the outdoors and commitment to safety, allowing me to contribute to a community that values adventure with responsibility.
