Partner
The Performance HUB : Executive Coaching & Team CoachingPartner
Jun. 2015 - Jan. 2019As a Partner at The Performance HUB, I designed and delivered coaching interventions that supported individuals, teams, and organisations in unlocking potential and achieving sustainable performance gains. Our work was grounded in the belief that people are the central force in any organisation—when leaders and teams are empowered to grow, performance naturally follows. I partnered with clients across diverse industries, including IT, recruitment, service engineering, and academia, to co-create development strategies tailored to their unique challenges and goals. My role focused on executive and team coaching, where I brought together psychological insight, leadership theory, and high-performance sport principles to enable clients to stretch beyond perceived limits. With a background as an international athlete in hockey and rugby 7s, I integrated my own insight on the discipline, mindset, and resilience required to consistently perform under pressure. At The Performance HUB, we took a deeply human approach—balancing ambition with wellbeing, challenge with support. My coaching interventions often aimed to help individuals clarify their purpose, increase their self-awareness, and lead with intention. For teams and organisations, I facilitated alignment, trust-building, and behavioural change to drive performance from the inside out. This period was a formative time in my development as a coach, deepening my understanding of the context of day-to-day organisational life and how high performance sporting principles are universally transferable.

Head Coach
St Andrews College, BooterstownHead Coach
Sep. 2009 - May. 2013DublinDuring my time at St. Andrews College, I was assistant coach to the senior girls team, head coach to the same team for two years after that, and head coach to the minor girls in my final year. This involved 3 coaching contact points per week over a 30 week season, student-player management, negotiating with key stakeholders, competition and travel planning, developing and coaching tactical principles of play and overseeing the physical and technical season plan. Over this 4 year period what I enjoyed most was the on-field coaching of the players. These girls ranged from 13-18 and I always saw my role as coach as one of developing the whole person, encouraging their love for hockey, and consolidating and building their confidence in their own ability. My philosophy was, and is, to get the best out of each player and to create an environment where they have the right measure of challenge, support, feedback and resources to fulfill their potential. My focus was to encourage best performance, true competitiveness and team service.
