Throughout my career as a certified paralegal and Communications Director for an Illinois State Senator, I have honed my skills on managing complex projects and supporting high stakes outcomes. I have experience working with a diverse team as well as working independently. I have efficiently communicated logistics and multi-tasking in a team based environment with numerous agents, companies, and government officials. Some of my primary functions in my paralegal career include case management, new case evaluation to determine exposure, discovery, trial preparation, drafting pleadings, investigations, and research. In my political career as Communications Director, I successfully developed and implemented effective communication strategies to support the Senator’s goals and objectives through media relations, press releases, speechwriting, assisting in drafting legislation, research, serving as regional office manager, as well as serving as his campaign manager. I have a BS from the University of Illinois-Champaign, where I also played DI volleyball. I also have an AA and paralegal certificate from Illinois Central College, where I graduated Phi Theta Kappa with a 4.0 gpa and earned President’s list honors. I believe my education, achievements, organizational skills, passion, and drive for continued excellence will be an asset to the continuing success of my employer.
