Offered support to leadership members (Resource Nurse, Manager, Director) with document preparation and report writing. Responsible for purchasing and overseeing the incoming inventory, using the Central Ontario Healthcare Procurement Alliance (COHPA) system. Entered all confidential patient information into Meditech.
• Developed vendor relations for supply purchases, especially during emergency situations. Managed the research and data collection as the second point of contact for the Ontario Renal Reporting System (ORRS) and submitted reports to the Ontario Renal Network (ORN).
• Prepared monthly report for the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. Effectively communicated as the prime liaison between the centre and the hospital, the public, and department staff.
• Assisted the Transplant Coordinator in entering tests, as well as ordering imaging and compiling results in a timely manner to be forwarded to the respective transplant hospital, ensuring the transplant patient’s status was not affected. • Coordinated consultations with specialists that were ordered by the centre physicians, as well as scheduled imaging appointments, which entailed extensive knowledge of medical terminology.
• Entered daily and monthly blood work for the Floor Nurses and coordinated pick up of specimens for delivery to the hospital lab.
• Registered and revisited patients daily, and kept track of treatment statistics and patient census for monthly reporting by creating spreadsheet to help keep track. Reviewed all incoming invoices, expense forms, purchase orders, contracts and agreements noting issues for review and approval.
• Collected statistics from the patient charts and submitted reports for the Vascular Access Coordinator. Collaborated with Coordinator in regards to setting up consultations with Vascular Surgery as well as specialized imaging in Interventional Radiology.
