Nov. 2022Sherborne, England, United KingdomStrategic Program Evaluations Have been the team leader and main analytical report writer for several complex evaluations. These have used participatory and appreciative enquiry approaches, with a focus on both learning and donor accountability. Several resulted in remodelling of theories of change and logframes. In 2023, these include the FCDO funded, Chemonics led, POTENCIAR project in Mozambique, a health systems governance project; the Green Economy Coalition’s EU funded Financial Dialogues project covering India, Uganda, South Africa, Trinidad, and the Swiss Development Cooperation’s (SDC) grant to the International Organisation of Employers (IOE). In 2020, GEC’s EU funded project to pilot an inclusive dialogues approach to green economy transition in 7 countries. Work for the ILO in 2020-22 included the mid-term evaluation and the evaluability assessment of the Work in Freedom migration project, looking at the migration cycle of women migrant workers between South Asia and the Middle East and the mid-term evaluation of the FAIRWAYS migration project between Africa and the Middle East. Research and Analytical Work As one of three coordinators with the Human Development and Capability Association thematic group on Human Security, organised two panel sessions in 2023: the HDCA Global Dialogue Week, on Exploring Subjectivities – Advancing a Human Security Conceptual Framework; a virtual panel session on ‘Crisis, Continuity and Change in the Care Industry in Lebanon’ for the annual MENASP Network conference. Organisational change and program quality accompaniment work through 2017-19 included accompaniment and mentoring work for senior organisational staff in Educo, the Spanish affiliate of the ChildFund Alliance, in implementation of their organisational theory of change; accompaniment support to Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) for the implementation of a resilient livelihoods strategy, including the design and operationalisation of a theory of action.
