Alongside my research, I have developed extensive teaching experience across multiple disciplines, having designed and taught courses on South Asian religions, Islamic studies, and Hindi/Urdu. At UT Austin, I taught and assisted in courses such as: Hindi and Urdu Literature and Cinema Intermediate Hindi (for Heritage and non-Heritage Students) Introduction to South Asia Introduction to Buddhism Yoga: Past and Present I have actively incorporated proficiency-based teaching methodologies in my language instruction, utilizing frameworks like the ILR and ACTFL to enhance student engagement and fluency. My pedagogical approach fosters critical thinking, cross-cultural awareness, and linguistic proficiency, making my courses rigorous and accessible. My dedication to teaching has been reflected in consistently excellent student reviews, and I have received several awards recognizing my contributions to pedagogy and research. In addition, my scholarship has made notable contributions to South Asian studies, religious studies, and comparative philosophy. My Indo-Gulf relations article will soon be published in Middle East Critique, offering perspectives on transnationalism and capitalism in exchanges between South Asia and the Gulf. Additionally, my book review of Scott Stroud’s seminal work on Ambedkar has been well received, engaging with the critical intersections of philosophy, history, and political thought. A forthcoming article of mine has been deemed by a blind peer reviewer as "a significant contribution to both animal ethics and comparative philosophy," highlighting my interdisciplinary expertise. Furthermore, my book chapter in the Routledge Handbook of Indian Ethics was published alongside leading scholars such as Purushottama Bilimoria and Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak, underscoring my engagement with key intellectual currents in the field.
