Oversees data collection from analysed samples for hematology tests. This enables the department to track all hematologic diseases seen in the hospitals. 8. Conducts & participates in scientific Research works. The department is the research hub of the hospital. 9. Runs Day-care and weekly out-patient clinics where various hematologic cases are seen and managed accordingly. 10. Conducts a weekly seminar involving resident doctors, consultants and medical laboratory scientists. 11. Oversees the Palliative care arm of the department which majors mainly on people living with HIV/AIDS cancers
