Training of Pre-Part I and II resident doctors in Hematology, Internal medicine, Family medicine and other clinical specialties; assessment/supervision of Part II dissertations in Hematology and other clinical specialties. 7. Oversees data collection from analysed samples for hematology tests. This enables the department to track all hematologic diseases seen in the hospitals. 8. Conducts & participates in scientific Research works. The department is the research hub of the hospital. 9. Runs Day-care and weekly out-patient clinics where various hematologic cases are seen and managed accordingly. 10. Conducts a weekly seminar involving resident doctors, consultants and medical laboratory scientists. 11. Oversees the Palliative care arm of the department which majors mainly on people living with HIV/AIDS cancers
