Director Supply Chain Operations and Analytics
Under ArmourDirector Supply Chain Operations and Analytics
Feb. 2019Baltimore, Maryland AreaIn this role, I partner with the SVP of Product Supply to develop business strategies, strategic initiatives, and five-year plans for five global offices. While in this role, I have spearheaded a vendor-owned certification program and improved visibility into vendor performance by creating a new, quantitative way of measuring the quality of development samples. I have also driven teammate efficiencies and closed data gaps by identifying and implementing PLM system enhancements. All in all, I have managed seven employees, 13 projects annually, and budgets of $600K to $1M in this role. A couple of my other successes in this position include: ► I reduced our workload in the peak months by 20% in 1.5 years by developing a strategy for better balancing our workload and completing tasks early during down months. Initially, our workload peaks were causing low engagement scores, so I identified opportunities to adjust our calendar deadlines and better distribute work at the firm. ► I improved visibility regarding where fabrics were sourced in two years by leading a team in creating a data system for linking similar fabrics to a parent item. This materials management project increased the ease of comparing cost/ lead time as well as managing BOMs.

Under ArmourSr. Project Manager, Cost Reduction and Optimization
Oct. 2017 - Jan. 2019Baltimore, Maryland, United StatesIn this position, I coordinated the company’s annual negotiation process with 100+ suppliers. I also directed/trained 30 employees and managed $4M budget. A couple of my successes in this position include: ► I decreased COGS by $50M in one year by implementing the use of data to measure cost changes over time. Initially, our team would review our cost sheet line by line. I thus worked with IT to get access to an important data source, and I created a vendor scorecard comparing current costs vs. historical costs. I then leveraged simple statistics to perform sensitivity testing and identify outliers that needed to be reviewed and negotiated. ► I drove efficiency and time reduction in product creation in one year by designing costing strategies for standardizing how suppliers submitted costs, which made this process more predictable.

Feb. 2016 - Sep. 2017Baltimore, Maryland AreaIn this job role, I oversaw the company’s factory allocation strategy and its efforts to bring to market products for our Basketball, Golf, Men’s Training, and Underwear categories, which represented $2.2B in revenue annually. While in this role, I created tools for managing suppliers’ long-range business plans/processes and reconciling them with current supply plans. A couple of my successes in this position include: ► I decreased costs by $12M annually in six months by developing a dual sourcing strategy, process, and system capability. Initially, when the company sourced products, it would optimize them only for the USA, which led to high import duty payments for the growing APAC and EMEA regions. I therefore collaborated with Trade Compliance, Demand Planning, Sourcing, and IT to create a strategy for making products at more than one factory at a time. This was done to maximize the import duty, cost, and lead time for the region being serviced. ► I managed four employees and a $500K budget.

Feb. 2014 - Jan. 2016Baltimore, Maryland AreaIn this job position, I generated and communicated category-level sourcing strategies to product and regional sourcing teams. I also built relationships and held negotiation meetings with suppliers by traveling to them. While working with suppliers, I gained a strong understanding of their manufacturing capabilities and innovation opportunities. In this role, I additionally troubleshot capacity, compliance, delivery, master data, MOQ, and compliance problems. I furthermore led one direct report and a $100K budget in this position. A couple of my successes in this position include: ► I created an algorithm in two months that enabled the company to determine the best factories for optimizing costs. Prior to this, the company made factory decisions simply based on history, relationships, and leaders’ gut feelings, which resulted in a less-than-optimized supply chain. ► I achieved both margin and lead time goals at the company by providing style cost breakdowns to Product and Design, then suggesting cutting-edge engineering solutions.
