George Georghiades, who has completed his doctoral degree (DPhil: Conflict Management and Transformation), is an internationally accredited ADR specialist, mediator, arbitrator and adjudicator, specialising in commercial and civil mediations, labour law, construction, and land right matters, since 2009. George is also a negotiations specialist and workplace investigator in the fields above, often requested to assist entities where sensitive investigations and negotiations are required. George is an internationally accredited mediator and arbitrator and registered Fellow of the Association of Arbitrators (FAArb) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), London, UK. George is a panellist on the CIDB’s Investigation Committee and the NHBRC’s Disciplinary Committee, both of these being national construction regulatory bodies. He is an appointed Court-annexed mediator in Mpumalanga, Limpopo, and Gauteng for the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development. George conducts mediations in terms of Uniform Rule 41A. George serves as a specialist panellist on the National School of Government (NSG) and the National Empowerment Fund (NEF) as a socio-economic specialist. George serves as an appointed adjudicator for the Community Scheme Ombud Service (CSOS) and is an Associate Member of the South African Institute of Civil Engineers (SAICE). George conducts workplace investigations for companies and/or entities in respect of potential allegations of misconduct and or unfair discrimination. George is a level-A accredited Commissioner of the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) and serves as an appointed dispute resolution panellist on several Bargaining Councils and specialist panels (Tokiso, Transnet, GPSSBC, ELRC, SALGBC, NBCPSS and BCCEI). George also conducts private arbitrations in respect of commercial disputes. George provides training on behalf of the CCMA both internally and for CCMA users.
