My prior experience was essential in helping give life to the wedding program since the Edgewater venue had just completed a multi million dollar renovation of their Conference Center that houses their wedding and event planning offices. My responsibilities included, but were not limited to, the following: - Conducted all site visits for prospective couples looking to host their event at any of seven Resort Collection properties, the largest being 13,700 sq ft. - Verified and vetted all leads up until needing final approval by the Catering Sales Manager. - I created contracts for booked clients and was authorized to receive signed contracts plus deposits. - Worked in tandem with the Catering Sales Manager to restructure the Wedding packages from costs to inclusions. - Served as a full-service planner for each wedding couple client as well as an on-site day-of coordinator with the exception if there was an additional event booked on the same day. With additional planning and communication, extra hands were brought in to facilitate extra day of coordination. If additional training was required, I trained them personally. - Worked closely with the Catering Sales Manager and all of the Food and Beverage Department in the aftermath of cancelations and rescheduling brought about by Hurricane Irma in September 2017 to ensure our department would meet our quarterly and yearly targets. - Brought a definitive, clear, and consistent social media presence for the wedding side of the department by utilizing traditional social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Facebook ads, Pinterest, etc) to share the newly designed packages, real time weddings, wedding announcements, and more in order to compete in the Panhandle luxury market. Posts were formatted to easily be changed, especially with each new couple, by using Canva.
