Rochelle Van Buuren is the Founding Director of MoonAcre Sanctuary, an unique not for profit organization dedicated to finding mobilty solutions for dogs and horses with severe physical injuries. With over 16 years of experience in rehabilitation, she has spearheaded annual outreach initiatives to bring MoonAcre"s expertise to the international arena. Most recently in 2025 Rochelle devised and co ordinated a project to establish water stations for horses and camels working at the pyramids of Giza. This achievement brought water to the pyramids for the first time in 90 years.. Rochelle holds a Master's degree in History from Cambridge University, and is a passionate advocate for change in how veterinary professionals view severe injury and disabliity In domestic and working animals. In her free time, she enjoys farm life, and catching up with family and friends.
