Jun. 2012 - Aug. 2015Cedar Rapids, Iowa Area• Develop and implement annual strategic and operational marketing plan, identifying program goals and objectives to meet airport objectives; • Develop and provide strategic written communications guidance regarding air service, media relations, public affairs, and government affairs • Maintain an awareness of and proactively respond to sensitive and high impact issues, critical needs and areas of special concern to Commission, political issues, capital development issues, and financial and operational issues. • Research airline issues such as air carrier patterns, airfare changes, equipment changes, route changes, performance, and the potential impact these may have on The Eastern Iowa Airport and prepares analysis using third party software; • Develop and oversee administration of Airport customer service program for Commission employees and designated tenants; • Develop creative marketing presentations and incentive programs to aggressively pursue improved air service, industrial development, and business opportunities; • Maintain regular contact with legislators, business, and government representatives in order to promote and coordinate services and funding; • Develop advertising, promotion and collateral materials that support primary marketing activities, to include disseminating information to media sources as required; prepares news releases and press kits; • Maintain effective working relationships with convention meeting planners, hospitality industry, statewide association executives, governmental agencies and business leaders; • Actively participate and represent The Eastern Iowa Airport at related community affairs, air shows, travel and trade shows and in local and national aviation organizations; • Solicit regular communication and customer feedback on Airport programs and services; • Represent the Airport and serves as a media spokesperson as requested.
