The embankment consists of 6 million yards of zoned clay and earthen material. The structural components of the project include a 2 mile long, 90 inch wide pipeline, a concrete intake tower, emergency spillway and two bridge structures that consist of more than 35,000 cubic yards of concrete. As the assistant project manager, I personally oversee all structural components of the project including all rebar and structural concrete along with managing all onsite batch plants. • Supervise the management of subcontractors on job: recruiting, proposals, contracts, scheduling, billing as well as overseeing all activity. • Oversee all structural aspects of project including: concrete, structural steel, large steel pipe installation, bridge installation, etc. • Sign off on all submittals and RFIs. • Meticulously handle budget estimation and cost control responsibilities, closely tracking project phases to ensure completion within established budgets and timeframes. • Act as liaison between CMAR (Construction Management At Risk) coordination team and design engineering team. • Daily meetings and updates on project status and upcoming scopes of work.

The $847 million project includes design, reconstruction and rehabilitation of deteriorating roadways and the addition of toll managed lanes. The TXDOT awarded the project to SouthGate Constructors, a joint venture between Fort Worth-based Kiewit Infrastructure South Co. and Dallas-based Austin Bridge & Road. The Midtown Express project follows the 8.4 mile initial phase DFW Connector project which was a $1.02 billion project. Field Engineer duties: •Manage all temporary & permanent striping that occurs on the job •Perform all survey & layout that is associated with striping, fully trained in Trimble software and all Trimble survey equipment associated with cut and fill designs and topo layout •Coordinate and plan traffic switches, make detailed plans for the flow of traffic during traffic shifts along w/ hourly schedules for temporary barrier movements & re-striping of new pavement •Plan and schedule all equipment moves associated with placing temporary construction barrier & also perform GPS route & time mgmt tracking on all trucks associated w/ temporary barrier hauls •Report daily unit cost & crew production rates on all activities that are performed during a particular shift, provide analysis & improvement methods weekly •Coordinate w/ TX-DOT reps on approval for lane closures on a daily basis along w/ plan sheet reviews & time restrictions for each traffic shift •Review & submit RFI’s for all signage & lane shift requirements to TX-DOT •Submit reports for quality control to TX-DOT on all permanent striping for minimum thickness, compliant ambient air temperatures, moisture content of permanent material, pressures & temperatures of machine applying permanent thermal striping
