- center members instructions and training: The MOC training program is designed for individuals who work in, or plan to work in, a MOC environment. This includes maritime professionals, such as navigators, meteorologists, and marine safety officers, as well as personnel from government agencies, shipping companies, and port operators.
The training program typically consists of both classroom-based lectures and hands-on training exercises. During the classroom sessions, participants learn about the various aspects of MOC operations, including the procedures for responding to incidents and emergencies, the use of vessel tracking and communication systems, and the coordination of resources in the maritime domain.
In the hands-on training exercises, participants have the opportunity to apply the concepts they have learned in a simulated MOC environment. These exercises help participants to develop their problem-solving skills, improve their ability to work as part of a team, and gain practical experience in managing maritime operations.
