Apr. 2017 - Sep. 2019• Led two successful bids for a total of £110,000+in Office for Students Access funds, for a bespoke online learning platform that assisted 1,300 students 2,800 times.
• Won internship funding worth around £12,500 across various peer learning projects, and two Civic Engagement awards from the University, amounting to £4,250. • Co-launched a research group that is operated in conjunction with students. Won £1,250 in Knowledge Exchange grant funds to achieve this. • Co-designed and launched a scholarly journal, including writing its editorial policy and corporate structure. • Nominated for Student Experience award in 2018.
• Led a team of Academic Writing and Mathematics tutors to deliver 16,000 individual instances of student support to many thousands of students across three colleges, four schools, a team that saw students 7,658 times in one academic year – 61% of our overall team’s interventions with students. • Co-defined/co-wrote the KPIs, managerial practices and employee policies of a cross-campus team. • Planned the skills curriculum development for 60 different modules/projects for four schools on two campuses. • Led teaching practices that were associated with ~3.52% grade improvements for students who had access to curricula I had coordinated. • Negotiated, planned, and launched a bespoke employability skills programme for PGCE students. • Hosted two international, and two local, Civic Engagement events aimed at promoting social justice through writing/literacy in our local community. Received official recognition from the local authority as a Community Builder in the process.
