UNICEFMHPSS consultant
May. 2022 - Feb. 2023Warsaw, Mazowieckie, PolandSince 2022, I have supported UNICEF’s Poland Emergency Response Office in mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) response in Poland in the context of the large-scale displacement of Ukrainian children and families. My role focuses on building local partner capacity, grantmaking, strengthening coordination, and ensuring that interventions align with global standards.
Key responsibilities and achievements: • Capacity Building: delivered workshops and trainings for local partners, grounding MHPSS interventions in the IASC Guidelines on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in Emergency Settings. • Technical Support & Guidance: produced MHPSS-related materials, tools, and practical guidance tailored to the refugee context, strengthening the quality and consistency of psychosocial programming. • Partner Engagement: worked closely with local NGOs, community organizations, and service providers to scale up psychosocial support for Ukrainian refugee children, youth, and families, ensuring culturally and contextually appropriate responses. • Emergency Response Contribution: supported UNICEF’s broader refugee response in Poland by integrating MHPSS into education, child protection, and community programming.
