Three Guys from BrooklynManaging Partner
Nov. 2001Brooklyn Three Guys from Brooklyn Owner / Partner (1997 – 2025) For over 25 years, I helped lead one of New York City’s most iconic produce markets, transforming it into a model of operational excellence, community impact, and resilience. Key Contributions & Achievements: Operational Leadership: Directed daily operations for a high-volume, 24/7 produce business serving thousands of customers weekly; managed a 100+ person team, vendor relationships, and multimillion-dollar purchasing strategies. Food Access & Affordability: Ensured fresh produce remained accessible and affordable while navigating supply chain volatility, inflation, and regulatory changes. Community Engagement: Partnered with organizations like Rescuing Leftover Cuisine to combat #foodwaste and deliver fresh food to underserved communities. Sustainability & Environment: Implemented environmentally responsible practices, including food waste diversion, energy-efficient upgrades, and recycling initiatives to reduce the market’s footprint. Policy Advocacy: Collaborated with the NYC Mayor’s Office and industry groups on food policy discussions, championing affordability and access for working families. Crisis Leadership: Guided the business through the COVID-19 pandemic by implementing safety measures, adapting to rapidly evolving regulations, and keeping essential food supply available during citywide uncertainty. Philanthropy & Fundraising: Built a strong culture of giving back, including leading efforts that raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the National MS Society through Bike MS NYC.
