This is in support of South Africa's export agenda, aligned to the Integrated National Export strategy to brand and profile South Africa and its industrial capabilities, products and services. I am responsible for marketing and branding SA's competitive edge, innovating advertising campaigns, building and maintaining working cross functional relationships with trade support institutions such as International and Provincial Investment Promotion Agencies, Brand South Africa, Industrial Development Corporation, export councils and metro councils. I have identified and sustained strategic partnerships with key Donor Agencies on Donor Funded Programmes in the trade and development space including partner organisations such as USAID, SIPPO, ProColombia, and the UKFCDO, amongst others, to build export capacity and expand trade champions exposure internationally. I also collaborate with InvestSA in the implementation of SA's Investment Conferences and trade and investment promotion programme's on the margins of Presidential Engagements to and from SA. These include the Dube Trade Port IDZ, Coega IDZ, OR Tambo IDZ, the Gauteng IDZ, Atlantis SEZ, Nkomazi SEZ, proposed Solar Corridor SEZ in Upington, and the Proposed Wild Coast SEZ. I was responsible for the promotion of trade and investment into the above SEZs, providing incentives support, conducting research and developing marketing strategies for key accounts in consultation with international, national and provincial stakeholders, facilitating lead development, providing market and business intelligence, participation in investment negotiations, and providing investment after care for the conversion of investment pipeline. Responsible for relationship management, I also designed and implemented a Stakeholder Communication Strategy, and initiated an Investment Facilitation model (One-Stop-Shop) increasing client acquisition and client retention, to improve client satisfaction. Critically, I was responsible for the development of a Fuel Cells Value Chain SEZ proposal aligned to Platinum Group Metal Beneficiation objectives of the dti’s Industrial Policy Action Plan.
