Jul. 2024Egypt, CairoThe GBS People Services Lead – P&C Africa is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the delivery of HR (People & Culture) operations and services across the African region within the GBS framework. This role ensures high-quality, compliant, and efficient HR service delivery covering employee lifecycle management, payroll coordination, data accuracy, HR systems, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Service Delivery & Operations
Lead the delivery of end-to-end People Services (HR Operations) for all African countries in scope, ensuring service excellence, compliance, and adherence to SLAs.
Oversee employee lifecycle transactions (onboarding, movements, separations, data management, benefits administration, etc.).
Manage and ensure accurate HR data integrity in HRIS (e.g., Workday / SuccessFactors).
Support payroll inputs validation and coordinate with Finance / external providers for accuracy and timeliness.
Monitor key HR operations metrics and continuously improve performance levels.
2. Stakeholder & Relationship Management
Act as the main point of contact for regional HR Business Partners, Country P&C Leads, and GBS global teams.
Partner with business leaders to ensure People Services align with operational and strategic needs.
Provide insights and reports on HR operations performance and employee experience trends.
3. Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
Identify and drive process standardization and automation opportunities across countries.
Support the transition of new activities into GBS People Services scope.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement using Lean / Six Sigma methodologies.
Ensure policies and processes are documented, updated, and communicated effectively.
4. Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with local labor laws, data protection regulations (GDPR), and internal policies.
Oversee audit readiness, documentation, and accurate record-keeping for all HR transactions.
Manage risk mitigation plans and escalate issues promptly to regional/global leadership.
5. People Leadership
Lead, develop, and coach a team of HR operations specialists to achieve performance excellence.
Foster a culture of accountability, service orientation, and collaboration.
Promote diversity, inclusion, and a positive employee experience across all service interactions.
