Implemented new system of organisation in sampling department and new fabric library so communication and accuracy was maximised. Through new system, production problems were clearly evident and therefore eradicated quickly; issues were resolved in half the previous time as information was more readily available. Responsible for negotiation of price of fabric and trims so right quantities and lead times are achieved. Followed critical pathways to ensure delivery times are consistently met from mill to factory to shop floor. Implemented a daily team meeting so work could be delegated more efficiently and problems communicated clearly, time was utilised more effectively as issues were highlighted and resolved quickly with all members of the team present. Responsible for all garment technical drawings and information sheets, liaise with mills, pattern cutters, machinists, production and sales team daily. Liaise with factory in Hungary and Latvia to secure production slots. Communicate regularly with suppliers in China, India, France, Italy, and Germany. Sourced alternative fabrics and trims at better prices to maximise profits. Sourced factories to make new products such as badges, tea canisters and knitwear. Oversee sampling of entire collection and bought in garments to ensure that high standard of construction is maintained. Responsible for sending out collections to agents throughout Europe and receiving feedback from buyers and communicating them to design and construction team. Communicate with store managers and floor staff weekly to get relevant feedback on product issues and monitor sales and best sellers
